Following is a list of old and new friends that I believe are worth being your friends too. All are talented people in their own right...please click on their names in red to visit their sites...

JeepneyBooks.com

Met these guys at a Fil-AM event. My daughter has been looking for a book (she loves books like me) to teach her tagalog words. We teach her what we can but it's always great for her to have a book that she can study and memorize when she wants to. This site distributes alot of Filipino centric books for our kids. We complain alot that our kids don't know our language as they grow these folks here are now spearheading that effort to help our kids grow up with thier heritage. Please visit them and support them by buying books from their authors and help ours and your kids by getting them these books to teach them what they have a right to know...

Francis Magalona

Not only is he listed as the King of Pinoy Rap he is also my friend. If you want to believe his talent, his power then just youtube Francis M and watch and listen to his words. I suggest starting with the live version of "Three Stars and the Sun" and going from there. BTW-the song refers to the Filipino Flag which bears the Three Stars and the Sun. He is a man of conscience
and again my friend...check him out...

Philip Tan

Philip was the youngest student we had in that first batch. He was actually too young I thought for the school bu the drive and organization he brought to anything he did impressed me. He found his own inker, his own colorist, and then wrote his own story all at the tender age of seventeen...that became "Taleweaver" which was published under Wildstorm. Now he has drawn for companies such as Marvel and Spawn Comics. He still has the drive and he still is impressive...

Budjette Tan

Budjette Tan
Budj has been a stalwart icon within local comics in the Philippines for awhile now. He is now working full time in Advertising but still manages to write Trese which I believe is one of the best ongoing books in that market. It is the book I would love to write myself...about Filipino's in the Philippines and all doing purely Filipino things in Filipino ways. They capture the true atmosphere of the Manila I know and love. Talk about the new comics movement in the Philippines and Budjette's name arises check out his blog above and here check out Trese...

Lan Medina

Lan Medina
Lan is the hardest working person I know. I don't think he knows how to do anything but draw. I wish I had that stamina and drive. When I met Lan he was deep in local Philippine Comics and his style reflected that. Thruout the years he has strove hard and consistently to reinvent himself for the American market. Check out his Deviant site and you'll see a real well rounded artist...

Kwan Chang

When we met Kwan he was just this cool guy who knew alot of people...we soon found him to have a heart of gold. Hell, he teaches special ed. kids. He has helped us out in so many ways we can't see not knowing him. Now he sells art for people like Leinil Yu so check out his site and see some great art...

Edgar Tadeo

Gar is a true renaissance man, he has re-invented himself so many times. When he was a student of mine he was a shy, quiet man. When he became an inker over pencilers like Leinil Yu and myself his newly found confidence spurred him to then master all sorts of mediums. From computer coloring, flash animation, 3D model biulding, watercolors, and now penciling...check out the many facets of Edgar at his self designed site...

Whilce @ MSN

Whilce MSN group
Here's a site that has been around for awhile now it is maintained by a very good friend Kyle Silkey. For a long time he was the only presence I had on the internet. Since then he has become a friend and a valuable source of information. Here you can see alot of my images that I won't have the time to find, scan, and load onto the whilceportacio.net site...enjoy...

Dino Ignacio

Dino Ignacio
Dino has to be the one most creative and talented person I have ever met. He seems to some as an unassuming personality but underneath his pleasantry is a powerhouse of a talent. He can and does everything...check out his site and his hilarious flash to the equally hilarious skit "Maritess vs. the Superfriends" by Rex Navarrete.

Leinil Francis Yu

Leinil Yu
Leinil was one of the many students from a school for Comicbook Art I once ran in the Philippines. He came to me trying to draw with my style, I convinced him to draw like himself. He is now one of the premiere artists working today in Superhero Comics...

Gerry Alanguilan

Gerry Alanguilan
Ger has said that I came to the Philippines and helped alot of people realize their dreams as artist. Well it was Ger who convinced me that I should do this. It was also Ger who convinced me that a young upstart like Leinil Yu could draw. In recent times Ger has become the firerod and upstanding example of the true Filipino artist. Go to his blog and read his online comics, especially his emotional "Wasted" which too is finally online...

Gilbert Monsanto

One of the true workhorses of the industry. He is an artist for
local Komix and for Image and others. He was once my Art Director,
he directed my School in the Philippines and a very good and
talented friend. Visit his site and see the multitudes of work this artist has already done...
